Event Info for Westchester Pride at Playland: September 11, 2010 from 12 to 9 pm

Join your friends and the rest of the region’s LGBTQ community and supporters for a day of fun on Saturday, September 10, 2011. Your day will be filled with rides, events, entertainment, and perusing the many vendors on hand.

We're encouraging all attendees to wear something red so that we stand out loud and proud!

SUPPORT LOCAL LGBTQ PRIDE

YES - you can purchase all-access rider wristbands on Saturday at the Westchester Pride tent at the south entrance near the fountain for $25.00 per person. Look for the rainbow balloon arch! The all-access pass gets you onto every ride and attraction inside the park. A portion of your ticket goes to cover Westchester Pride at Playland.

Free food at the Pride Pavilion! All Westchester Pride guests will receive a free hot dog and water when you join us at the Pavilion.

If you're coming just for Pride activities and the live music, or you won't be going on the rides and attractions, you can donate $5 to the Westchester Pride Coalition for a visitor wristband.

Have Fun at the Pride Pavilion:
Westchester Pride at Playland’s center of activity is the Pride Pavilion. We’ll have vendors selling all forms of gay paraphernalia, the region's LGBT organizations on hand, as well as entertainment for kids of all ages. Plus a free hot dog and water!

Have Fun on the Rides:
Join us on the Music Express, the Log Flume, the Sky Flier, and Double Shot. And don’t forget the Playland Yo Yo. Your $25 pass gets you on all rides, all you want, all day.

Join us for the Diversity After Dark After-Party on Saturday night at the Pier Restaurant's outdoor Tiki Bar, located just steps from Rye Playland. 8 pm to 2 am. 21+ only please.

No One Can Rain on Our Parade! This year's rain date is Sunday, September 11, 2011. In extremely rare circumstances when severe weather strikes, Playland may close the entire park early, but in this event your wristbands will be valid the following day. Ticket sales policies and ride and park closures are made at the discretion of Playland.

Have a Safe, Happy Pride

We want everyone to celebrate Westchester's diversity in an open, safe and community-minded setting. We plan on having plenty of people around to guarantee a safe Pride event. Playland's excellent security team will be on hand for the duration of the event, and we will also have extra "safety officers" around. To volunteer as a safety officer, please email us today!
